Sharing the Dream

In 1968, my Young Life leader, Skip Schilperoot, pulled three camp buses into my neighborhood.

He dragged me out of my house and took me on the adventure of a lifetime that began with one week but continues today.

The first stop was a brand-new Young Life camp called Woodleaf Towne. I had a personal encounter with Jesus that week. Several years later, I met my wife, Laurie, as a Young Life leader. Today, Woodleaf is still a meaningful part of our lives because it is a place God uses to reveal His love to kids.

For over 50 years now, Woodleaf has impacted untold thousands of kids for Christ, and the wear and tear is showing. Please consider helping us to revitalize this holy place and make it ready for the next generation of kids, leaders and Young Life staff who will meet Jesus and grow in Him in the NEXT 50 years."

— Lindsay and Laurie Parton, Woodleaf Executive Campaign committee chairs

Share the Future.

It’s time to revitalize Woodleaf so it’s a haven for every kid who steps off the bus and hears cheers. Woodleaf gives kids real adventure, true rest and a chance to hear about a bigger purpose for their lives — an invitation from a man named Jesus.

There's nothing like a week of camp to give these kids a picture of Jesus and to create lasting relationships..."
